As travelers look for new and exciting destinations, many countries, around the world, have great potential to develop their national tourism industry, beginning with an updated tourism strategy, and continuing with some other initiatives.

With Covid apparently here to stay, but somewhat under control, more and more, cities, regions, and countries are focussing an increased amount of attention and resources on their tourism industry, in an effort to take advantage of pent-up travel demand, maximize the number of visitors, and increase revenues.

In many cases, developing one's tourism industry often leads to significant benefits in other areas, such as increased general exports and overall international trade.

Areas where SQM services are of value, include, but are not limited to:

1.  Assisting to develop your updated tourism strategy to achieve the desired objectives.
2.  Representing your tourism industry in the North American marketplace.  By using a combination of our senior managers and locally based Representatives, you will be able to reduce costs associated with the expanded promotion of your tourism product.
3.  Assisting in expanding non-tourism interests in the North American marketplace by taking a similar approach to #2, above.  Depending on your needs, this may include acting as a consulate in certain regions.
4.  Enhancing your tourism product by developing and implementing industry training programs.
5.  Developing an inspection / ratings system to help individual businesses improve their operation...and ultimately attract more visitors and increase profitability due to higher quality levels.

For certain programs, international funding may be available through a variety of sources, however, ultimately, these initiatives require interest, involvement, and support from within the government.
